Libby & Rachel's PR & Kate's Dream

VA will not only be represented proudly and speedily in Greensboro this weekend but also in Washington and Boston this weekend. This of course is at the adidas Boost Games in Boston for the Dream 100 and 1500s and Brooks PR for some of the best single heat races of the year.

Competing for Team VA will be our three super studs of the class of 2017 with Libby Davidson & Rachel McArthur at Brooks PR and Kate Murphy at the Dream 1500.

First up at Brooks PR will be Rachel McArthur who seems to be realizing that she isn't only one of the top runners in the state's history but could be one of the best ever in the US. She is fresh off a 2:06 800 at states and ready to rumble in the Brooks PR Mile. She enters as one of the top seeds and has the serious speed to run sub 4:40 in this race. She has a killer kick so if the race is close it will be a fun finish and she loves the flare of a come from behind finish.

In the deuce her potential future teammate Libby Davidson will be racing to show everyone just how good she is this outdoor season. She was the national runner-up indoors and outdoors she is not running for second. She has a 10:14 Two Mile PR to her name and she could run sub 10 this weekend.

It should also be noted she is flying home after this race and running in the DMR at New Balance Nationals also on Sunday!

Finally all the way across the country the other way will be Kate Murphy racing in the 1500 in Boston. This will be a fast race to say the least and even though she is ranked #4 all-time in the event, she is going to have to basically break the national record to take down the girls in front of her who are actually seeded above her. Regardless though, if you know Kate and how competitive she is, you know that that second place finish at states will fuel her to an amazing time this weekend.

All three of these girls not only have a serious shot at winning but also at setting some huge records in the process. These girls are all one of a kind and the best thing is that they all return next year for what could be the most epic season of distance running in VA history!
