Border Clash (OR)
Ella Donaghu won her second straight Border Clash, beating out Ember Stratton by five seconds. The two Oregonians led the way for their state in the annual dual meet between Oregon and Washington all-star teams; Washington won the team battle 27-29 after trailing 30-25 at 1.95 miles. Donaghu ran 17:59, Stratton ran 18:04, and Taylor Roe ran 18:08 as the first Washington finisher.In the boys race, North Central's Justin Janke won in 15:30 a week after finishing sixth at the NXN Northwest regional meet. Washington dominated the team race, putting nine boys in the top twelve. Washington has dominated the annual meet, sweeping the boys and girls team races every year since 2007.
