National Weekend Rundown for November 14

NXN Northwest Regional (ID)

Annie Hill, Brody Smith Win Individual Titles!

No. 5 ranked Annie Hill of Glacier, Montana runs in her signature from-the-gun style to win the Championship Girls race in 17:32 (unofficial time) as she extends her undefeated streak this season.

More unexpectedly, No. 25 ranked Christina Aragon of Billings, Montana took runner-up honors over defending champion Ella Donaghu of Grant, Ore., currently ranked No. 6 in the Flo50. Donaghu recently set the Oregon state meet record in 17:26 and in winning this meet last year, handed eventual NXN champion Allie Ostrander her only high school cross country loss.

Hill does not plan to contest the NXN Championships in Portland on Dec. 5 and is using this race to warm up for Foot Locker West, which is held the same date.

The auto qualifiers were Bozeman (MT) girls and Sunset (OR) girls.

Auto team qualifiers were the Summit (OR) boys and Bozeman (MT) boys. The double dip for Bozeman was a first in school history.
