There was some deficiencies among the state's top two teams #1 Sandburg and #2 Neuqua Valley. Sandburg sent two of its top five runners Sean Torpy and Dylan Jacobs to St. Charles North and Neuqua Valley did not run top man Connor Horn or varsity runner Aiden Livingston. And just like Sandburg, the Wildcats sent a second solid team to another meet. But the difference in Peoria was the dominance of Sandburg's depth which as though they have six frontrunners. Six of the seven guys broke 15:00 for three miles. The seventh man David Gleisner ran a very solid 15:12.

Even without Sean Torpy and Jacobs the Sandburg team ran incredibly well. The scoring line went as follow: 2+4+5+6+9 (11+27)= 26 points; 0:14 1-5 Split | 14:44 Avg
