A lot of boys wish they had a finishing kick like this in the last lap of their mile races! Patriot (VA) sophomore Rachel McArthur led the Golden South Classic's adidas Dream Mile qualifier from start to finish through a slow and strategic first 3 laps (hit 3:45-3:46 split with lap to go).

But watch McArthur hammer a 62-63 second last 400 for a 4:48.65 to hold off another hard charging sophomore in Lauren Gregory for the victory at Golden South and become MileSplit's national KICK of the Week winner. She made the weekend trip to Orlando from Northern Virginia worthwhile as she is headed to New York to compete in the adidas Dream Mile on June 13th!
