National Champion! Nicole Greene Clears 6'0.5 To Win New Balance Nationals Indoor

Ponte Vedra senior Nicole Greene has two state championships to her name. Now, she can check off national champion. Greene, a UNC signee, entered the high jump at 5'6.5" which she cleared on her first attempt. She then leaped over 5'8.5" and 5'10.5" on her first attempt before clearing a new personal best 6'0.5" to win New Balance Nationals Indoor at the famed Armory Track & Field Center in New York. The mark is a new meet record, facility record, and puts her in a three-way tie for the fifth best all-time indoors. She attempted a state record 6'1.5", but fell short before calling it quits for the night.

Nicole Greene: Post-Meet Interview

Greene wasn't the only competitor from Florida on day one. Holy Trinity senior Andrew Cacciatore ran in the Emerging Elite Two Mile Run. Cacciatore finished first in his heat and 12th overall in a time of 9:33.36.
