Hanging with the Pros: Myles Marshall now US #8 All-Time in 1K!

Arguably best high school performance at Millrose Games came from high schooler in a pro race. Myles Marshall finished 7th in the men's 1000 meter race featuring the likes of Duane Solomon, Eric Slowinski, and Robby Andrews to be pulled along to the 8th fastest time ever run indoors by a US high school runners at 2:24.43! After having never run an indoor race until last weekend in the mile at the New Balance Grand Prix, Marshall with limited indoor experience has already etched himself among the all-time fastest in his first 1000 meter race ever indoors.

No surprise in his time considering that last summer as a junior at Kingwood High School, won the World Youth Olympic Games gold medal in China in the 800 meter run and qualified as the youngest team member for Team USA in the World Junior Championships last summer in Eugene. The 1:48.43 800 meter PR had to translate over to a similarly fast time in the 1K for Marshall. Marshall is now the current national leader by a full two seconds in the event as well and could dabble in running indoor races still at New Balance Nationals along with getting into the heart of the outdoor season meets back in Texas.
