The Carmel girls have historically been great from the state of Indiana, but the Avon girls are another team from the state who could be on the rise nationally this fall. The top 5 for the Avon girls this fall are already averaging 18:42 as a team for 5K with their season bests. At the Ben Davis Invite on Saturday,Taylor Nicholson dominated the field up front with a 17:53 individual win for Avon, while the remaining top 5 came through among the top 12 finishers.
