Tatnall DE XC: An Interview with Coach Pat Castagno

In 2006 a legacy began in Tatnall, DE.

Tatnall, DE is a small school, but don't tell the girls and boys who run there.  They roll with the big boys.  Tatnall has sent 7 straight girls teams to the Nike Cross Nationals meet in Portland, OR.  Each year since 2006 Tatnall has made the trip West, but they have accomplished more than that.  They finished third in 2008 and 2011, 5th in 2010, and 6th in 2012.

Next weekend they go for #8.

Not only that, but they boys team has a very good chance of making it to nationals for the first time ever.

NCAA's is also today and Tatnall will have 5 alumni competing at the highest level.  Juliet Botorff (Duke), Sam Parsons (NC State), Julie Williams (Villanova), Regan Anderson (Vanderbilt), and Haley Pierce (Georgetown).  Check out a FloTrack pre-race interview with Juliet here.
