Jefferson High School sprinter Dante’ Price earned indoor All-American status this past weekend at the New Balance Indoor Nationals at The Armory in New York City.  Competing against many of the country’s best high school sprinters, Price finished third in the Championship 200 Meter Dash with a time of 21.74 seconds.  In the finals, Price finished just behind second place Michael Cherry (21.43) of Chesapeake, VA and first place Ceolamar Ways (21.37) of Ponte Vedra, FL to earn his Bronze Medal and All-American honors.  Overall, Price’s time ranks tenth for the 200 M indoors in the U.S. this season.

Price has committed to attend Virginia Tech next season and will compete for the Hokies.  Congratulations to Dante’ on an outstanding performance and culmination to his indoor season.  We look forward to seeing him compete in West Virginia in his final season at Jefferson.
