Day One - Kentucky Action at Indoor Nationals
Leading off the day was Bryan Station's Jacob McLimore finishing 54th in the Emerging Elite 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.68 seconds. His teammate Ishmael Webb followed with a 7.09 in the Emerging Elite 60m Dash. The ladies took over next in the Emerging Elite 4x800m Relay, duPont Manual, Bowling Green, and Assumption were all competing. They finished in that exact order with Manual crossing the line in 16th with a 9:41.74. Bowling Green was 18th with a 9:42.63. Assumption ran two groups finishing 28th and 29th with a 9:47.03 and 9:48.68.
Class AAA defending 400m Champ Labi Frazier was next in the EE 400m Dash. The Bryan Station senior finished with a 1:01.06. The Girls Two Mile Run had three runners with Cassidy Hale of Manual in 9th with a 11:07.12. Assumption's Emily Bean was 19th with a 11:19.8 and Kenzley Defler 28th 11:29.53.
Assumption and Bowling Green were next in the Distance Medley. Assumption was 23rd in 12:40.85. BG was 29th with a 12:50.43. Bryan Station senior Corey Williams pulled double duty finishing 5th in the High Jump with a jump of 6-05 and 12th in the Long Jump with a 21-02.00.
St. Xavier senior Connor Sheryak finished out the night for Kentucky strong with a 5th place finish in the 5000 Meter Run with a new PR time of 15:05.20 earning All-American honors.
